Tonight, the kids decorated snowflakes with colored sand as a part of their working on basic Spanish phrases. #homeschooling #StayWarmEveryone
-----Awesome, Microsoft store has all sorts of stuff on rental for 10-cents right now. We watched Jurassic World last night. You have to watch it within 14 days, there are 24 hours to watch it from when you start and the dime is charged immediately. #ThankfulForDateNight #CheesecakeForDessertOfCourse
So, what did I think of the movie? I was relieved that there wasn't gore...families with children who don't get scared easily could easily watch. I did see a lot of character flaws, I was particularly aggravated by the two brainless, brave women....brainless. While really "badass," I did not see the main character Owen as being a former Marine, and that was pretty distracting...he carried himself like someone who had served in the Army. Clever ending all the way around and our family appreciated the heroes of this story. Anyway, so glad I saw this movie as the storyline has been of sentimental interest to me even before the first movie came out (happy/bittersweet memories...I lost someone I loved very much who lived well and died young).
Taste of Home Winter Goodie Box offers gave more of an idea what might be inside.

We homeschool, so that takes up a lot of my reading time lately. In addition to reading through curriculums, I have read "My Adventures with Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and Chapter 2 of Little House in the Big Woods (our preschooler is really enjoying this).
Today, I am reading "The Guns of the South" a alternate reality story in which the South wins the Civil War. I borrowed this from Husband about 5 years ago...yeah, it's about time I finished reading. Currently on page 6.
On Thanksgiving Day, we read "Katie Woo: Katie Saves Thanksgiving." In addition to being an apt holiday read, this was part of a monthly reading challenge that our kids are participating in. It was kind of boring to me...BUT portrayed events as they might happen in real peoples' Thanksgiving celebration efforts.
Currently available for 99-cents on Kindle.

I have been enjoying Chris Stapleton's music lately. This reminds me a bit of Waylon Jennings and a bit of the TCB Band (Elvis' rhythm section).
Mmm. I made Chicken Soup with (Brown) Rice. We have been watching "Really Rosie" and things related to that. #Sendak #homeschooling

Warrior Vodka. Part of the proceeds go to helping wounded soldiers. Husband drank his straight and I used a bit to make a screwdriver.
