Halloween CyberCruise Schedule is here...

Well...details on this came early. The schedule is up. I love making online friends on these Cybercruises.

Lifecruiser.com

Burning Life 2007

Right now I am in Second Life at the "Burning Life 2007" festival. If you can't go to Burning Man, let it come to you. :-)

Anyway....I missed most of the festival...it ends tomorrow. Still seeing someone's animation of tuna fish swimming overhead in a translucent tuna can was neat. I also got a mallet as a gift...that was funny.

"Arthur's" section of Burning Life was enjoyable. I rode a rocket and then was shot out of it at 4,000 feet...I discovered that my avatar can fall flat on its face. I even got a free Burning Life T-shirt, some flexi hair and new clothes. I listened to some chanting and got something called "The Box of Calm" (a chanting box which I will explore later).

In another section of Burning I got two pairs of free ice skates and a snowball thrower....like the mallot, this was amusing. :-)
-Finding Buck Roger's Soapbox Derby car sunken underwater was also funny.

Ideas/things I encountered:
-----Genesis 1:21
-----The poem "The Tiger" by William Blake..."Tiger,tiger burning bright"
-----Jesus was the most quoted prophet in the Koran??? I did further research and found claims that most Muslims believe that Jesus was bodily taken up into Heaven.

And dancing at Center Camp NE:
-----The Beatles, "We All Live in a Yellow Submarine"
-----Three Days Grace, "The Animal I Have Become"
-----Talking Heads, "Burning Down the House." By the way,in case you hadn't read about it, the RL (Real Life) Burning Man met with arson this year and had to be rebuilt for the burning.
-----"Everybody Must Get Stoned"....I think the actual title of this song is "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35." Here are the lyrics to a parody of it called "Everybody Must Get Phoned."
-----"Sister Salvation"
-----"Ritual Noise" by Covenant
-----"The Time Warp"...I go a little crazy on Columbia's parts. Columbia is the character I would most like to be though I know that I am better suited to play Magenta. :-)
-----Nickelback's, "Rock Star"
-----Pink Floyd, "Wish You Were Here"
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
-----And the final dedication (to a hacker) made me laugh..."The Asshole Song" as covered by Dennis Leary (the original was by Jimmy Buffet).
On the DJ at this event:
The DJ is named "Fleur." I admire her industry...she was playing the stream on Shoutcast at the same time. I wish her the best of luck with her career. :-)

Here is the schedule for today and tomorrow.

Win a Free Raleigh, NC Getaway!!!

This is the prize package for the FREE Raleigh Getaway:
-One night accommodations for two at the Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree Valley
-$25 gift certificate to Bloomsbury Bistro
-Free VIP admission for two to Rum Runners
-2 tickets to the North Carolina Theatre
-2 tickets to the N.C. Museum of Art’s Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism
-2 tickets to Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences

***And furthermore, this site has Getaway Give-a-ways going all the way until December. So enter again, if you don't win this time. :-)

Anyway...Raleigh's Official Tourism Site just has a lot of fun activities listed. I appreciated the interactive visitor's guide on the left side....that makes reading a guide online a LOT easier. :-)

If I could go to any production at the theatre in the prize package, it would be NC Theatre's production of Man of La Mancha. I am a big man of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes (for those that don't know-this is what "Man of La Mancha" is based off of). I love seeing as many versions as I can of this production. My favorite song is "Little Bird, Little Bird." Man of La Mancha is my absolute favorite musical. :-)

Right now, I am in the process of signing up for the Raleigh Event Watch Newsletter. I have never been to North Carolina but something about it just appeals to me...a mixture of city and Southern hospitality. I love the fact that there is an

I was delighted to find that there are a lot of FREE events in Raleigh. I am definitely a fan of frugal fun. Especially frugal learning experiences like museums. :-)

I have wanted to take Fall leaf photos in the countryside of North Carolina for some time now. I would definitely take road trips or drive from Raleigh to see such beauty. I have started looking at online pictures of "Cold Mountain" but I can't figure out where it is...I think maybe about 5 hours away. I would also like to see the leaves in Asheville, NC (about a 4-hour drive from Raleigh)...these are considered by many to be the most impressive Fall Foliage in the world.

I would love to take a NC Fall Getaway. Any Getaway would be nice right now. :-)

-----I haven't been on Second Life in a while. I am downloading the latest update now. I have heard about this before...but apparently plans are going foward with Google's possible rival to Second Life which, it seems, will use Google Earth.

Halloween Cyber Cruise

More details will be coming on Monday. I like the cybercruises...a nice way to make online friends.

Lifecruiser.com
-----An exclusively Jewish search engine
-----A new international cell phone
-----Now this is definitely a commentary...the raising of a "flag."
-----A see-through frog eliminates the need for dissection. The third generation of frogs dies though...I hope that this can be fixed.
-----How to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). I didn't know that there was more than just the winter and office versions of this...also a summer version.

Unconcious Mutterings

  1. Crook ::
  2. Thief. Politicians are often described as being crooks. A shepherd's crook. "By hook or crook." John Crook...takes pictures of beautiful cathedrals. A "dirty, lowdown crook." I often hear people describing former President Richard Nixon as a crook. "Crooks and Liars" is a well-known blog that discusses politics a great deal. A lot of stupid crooks make the Darwin Awards.

  3. Career ::
  4. Being a career woman. A job vs. a career. Children being pressured to think about and choose their careers. Career-oriented. "9 to 5"-the movie with Dollie Parton and Lillie Tomlin. I get daily job availablilities from CareerBuilder.com. A career can be a very stressful thing...often lifelong. going to college to prepare for a career. job fairs. "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)"...a song by Pet Shop Boys. "Don't Quit Your Day Job."

  5. Freckles ::
  6. Irish and/or red-headed. trying to lighten them with lemon juice.freckles are genetic and/or sun-caused. a lot of beautiful people have freckles.

  7. Scramble ::
  8. scrambled eggs....Husband makes eggs for me because he is so good at it. mixed up. I thought this said Scrabble at first...one of my fave games.Scrambling to get somewhere on time. scrambling planes for takeoff on an aircraft carrier. Word scrambles.

  9. Mistake ::

  10. Telephone ::

  11. Thank you ::

  12. Obstruction ::

  13. 24/7 ::

  14. SciFi ::

This word association meme by LunaNina is a work-in-progress right now. :-)
I don't know if I am going to get this finished in record-time but I have come to realize that is okay sometimes.

Thursday Thirteen

1. The ultimate revenge in a feud over a house???...saw the house in half. Husband tells me that this is not fixable. At least no one has been hurt. I am wondering what kind of sentence there would be, if one was found guilty of something like that.

2. What the President of Iran said at the United Nations:

3. Banana Roll

4. A billboard about Santa that is something to think about

5. This is an article on stammering and how the reactions of other people can do great harm. I empathize with the man who killed himself (though this will not be my fate) because he couldn't get a job despite having degrees (plural)...I am in the same vote...all-educated with nowhere to be acceptable....all-educated and treated like a clever chimpanzee at the zoo...trapped in a cycle where most peoples' only reactions to you are ridicule, loathing or fear. I can only work things like retail and most people hate me on site because I have an eye that wanders (not lazy eye...worse). People think I can "fix it" but I cannot...the risks from surgery are not worth the operation as I have a high likelihood of a worse state. Self-esteem as a means of fighting back can only get one so far. The worst people are those that insult you to your face or purposefully make it so you "accidentally" overhear or witness their reactions. The other people who are really bad are those who say "that will happen" or "you have to understand where they are coming from." People really should think before they ridicule....because pretty much everyone else is ridiculing that person on some level...this adds up to a very large wound.

6.
-----Heirloom Tomato Soup
-----Ancho Lentil Soup with Grilled Pineapple

-----The "Soup Nazi's" Cream of Sweet Potato Soup...if you watched Sienfeld, you will get the reference.
-----Pho Ga (Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup)

7. Quit Smoking with Hypnosis

8.

Quit Smoking - Free videos are just a click away
Not for those shocked by blood and pictures of organs..."Every Cigarette is Doing You Damage."

9. To the house that has the college students who send the girl out to flash people and sends a boy out in the middle of busy intersections for things thrown into the street....I hope you grow up soon and are you even old enough for that beer?

10. There may be a connection between Alzheimer's and insulin...effectively making Alzheimer's "Type 3" Diabetes.

11. Lemon Sherbet...served in lemon halves.

12. The fight to get one chimp declared a person.

13.

-----Well....we were going to try making grilled Havarti sandwiches this evening but Husband came up with his own idea. It was excellent. No grilling....creamy Havarti instead. We had summer sausage on Zorba rolls with banana peppers. I am becoming addicted to creamy Havarti and we later discovered that our tomato had gone bad. We will still be trying the grilled sandwiches at some point. :-)

-----Watching "Young Guns" this evening. Husband is dong some drawing and I am blogging. :-)
-Something that surprised me about that time frame...only the rich knew how to read??? That wasn't even that long ago. Well it would seem only the educated knew...which must have been only the rich in some areas.

About the sour pickles:
Originated in 1889 by the Bloch & Guggenheimer families of Manhattan. Currently the #1 Condiment brand in New York. Compliments hearty sandwiches, burgers, salads. 6/32 oz jars.

The mango pickles are from England.

On the sunflower seeds:
12 - 5.75 oz bags per case
Large size sunflower seeds
I don't know if I would really like dill-flavored sunflower seeds. I don't like sunflower seeds in general...unless they are out of the shell.

Kleenex protest
The first I have heard of this.

I think that when one makes a throw-away product such as Kleenex, one should take tremendous responsibility for impact on the environment. Harming the environment and having a throw-away product at the same time is pretty bad. I hope that this changes. Having a student movement against you can be very harmful to a company.
Errors led to 36-Hour NUCLEAR blunder

Sandwiches

A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty "Hi Ho Silver!" The Lone Ranger. "Hi Ho Silver, away! ... The Utah Blaze. A Chevy Blazer. I like to wear blazers. I thought of "Blade" for a second. Saint Blaise. I think Blaze is kind of a neat first name...I have only seen this happen in romance novels though. The Burning Man Festival...I hope that I can go someday. Smokey the Bear. Firemen trying to put out a blaze. September 11. "Burn in hell."
Husband's Ghost Rider costume makes me smile.

  7. Outside ::
  8. I subscribe to "Outdoor" magazine. I often want to go outside. The Great Outdoors...the movie and otherwise. Standing outside, looking in. The Outsiders with Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze,Ralph Macchio, etc. I was just talking to Husband about how Ralph Macchio is 45 now. Taking pictures of flowers in the morning...we like doing this. A song by George Michael...whom I hope does eventually find out if he has HIV or not. A Nelson song with the line "I've been on the outside, looking in..." Homeless people often live outside. A lot of things happen outside embassies...especially in movies. The name of a Bowie album. I wear my Crocs outside. I like to go to outdoor art festivals (and other festivals). Thinking outside the box. I hate trying to use the laptop while outside...so many problems trying to see the screen. Some people have an illness that makes them afraid of going outside. "Baby, It's Cold Outside." A while back it was raining only over our house (with the sun out) and we went outside to try to find a rainbow. Don't color outside the lines. Going outside of one's comfort zone. What is the weather like outside? Taking the dog outside for a walk. Going outside during a firedrill. Struggling to get outside during a fire. Has your family had a fire drill? Standing outside a door...we spend a lot of our life doing this. Letting people into our world can be hard. Outerspace. Going outside one's own country for the first time.

Doing "Fall into Reading" Again

I participated in "Fall into Reading" last year. I did not read everything that I intended to...but more than I would have read otherwise.

This year I am starting with:

-----I am on Page 11 of "No One Here Gets Out Alive." I have read this book many times...but not for years. I just discovered that Jim Morrison liked Mad Magazine a lot as a teen. I have a few issues of MAD that I have been planning on reading all the way through. I am unofficially adding the issues of MAD to this reading list.
-----The Doors were named after Huxley's "Doors of Perception." Jim Morrison often talked of this. I have yet to find the book. I know it is public domain, so I am looking for a free copy of it somewhere.
-----I got my copy of "Being a Green Mother" from a thrift store...in immaculate condition and a republication! I am on page 40-something.
-----I have just started Chrome (Crome) Yellow. I found this while looking for "The Doors of Perception." I like the narrator. I am on the first page.
-----"On a Pale Horse" is about a man who becomes Death. This is something I wanted to reread. Another thrift store find.
-----The last book is humorous. I am going to go through it and change my life in my own way. Fun.

This year's participant list. Sign up yourself (at this link).
The challenge ends December 21st.

Thursday Thirteen

1.

Segway Polo. I want to try this at some point. :-)

-----There is also a seat that one can use on a Segway.
-----Segway Cop
-----There is actually a tour company that is official and authorized to offer tours of Paris (via Segway, of course). That looks like tons of fun!!! This has to be one of the coolest activities I have ever seen...just makes me smile. Okay...now I want to do this way more than Segway Polo.
-----A Segway is a self-balancing scooter. A self-balancing scooter is not a new development....there are other ways to build one such as this. A Segway though is aesthetically-interesting and has some good safety devices. I am not technically-literate enough to build my own scooter...yet. :-)
-----Be sure to check the vehicle laws in your state if you ever purchase a Segway. Ignorance of the law is not a defense if you get pulled over.
-----This is from a few years back but...both George Bush and George Bush, Sr. riding Segways. I found it interesting that the founder of the Segway would like to see troops riding these into battle.

2.

This is interesting. Something most of us have probably done for amusement at some point.

3. I have read that there may have been someone posing as a police officer in the recent (alleged) robbery incident involving O.J. Simpson. I wonder why impersonating a police officer was not included in the charges for the person saying they were one (or if it will be). I have been following this and I truly see prison time for O.J. in this matter. I always try to see how the person might be innocent but I have yet to find anything like that in this case. :-(
-Here is a more sympathetic account of the motives that O.J. had in this.

4. Watching an encore presentation of "Kid Nation" online. It is amazing how much children pick up these days (and how soon). These children really impressed me with their intelligence and bravery. I almost cried a few times. I did actually cry a little when the one girl was awarded so much money (sorry, I am not a spoiler and am not saying who it was)...that will be such a help for their future. I think that the gold stars might have at least a temporary beneficial effect on a lot of these kids. I would have picked having more latrines, too. A lot of this show reminded me of Art Linkletter's "Kids Say the Darndest Things."

5. The Camera Van is a pretty neat piece of traveling artwork/artwork-in-progress. One of the photos that I have seen from this project was of a woman flashing. I wonder what motivated a young lady on the side of the road to flash us as we were driving home this week...certainly no camera van present then.

6. Scariest picture of a bee that I have ever seen. Is that a live bee?

7.

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" the Ukele Remix. What a unique performance of this song. I don't endorse the "striptease" videos that "Groovy Grooves" hosts. Anyway...this was a fun performance to watch.
-The baby who was swimming after money on Nirvana's "Nevermind" cover is now 17!

8. I am excited because I refound Biblio.com....a great place for used and out-of-print books. I have found a ton of books on there for a dollar...particularly old Piers Anthony books. Of course, there are many book on here that cost a lot...such is the nature of good books. Anyway...it is worth taking a look at. :-)
-There are 50 million books on here!
-I was just thinking....one good thing in the death of one of my favorite authors Douglas Adams. Douglas died in May 2001....that means that he did not have to witness September 11th....yes, I know he was English...I just have a feeling that it would be one of those things that he would have considered heartbreaking.

9. Cancer may be curable in two years.

10.

I have never had moose milk. This I would try but I am not so sure about Jellied Moose Nose.

11. I am drinking a glass of apple cider mixed with a little pineapple juice. I am enjoying this.

12.

Mia Rose sings "Missing You."

"I'm Like a Bird"

13.

"The Exortation"...an original piano composition by Jacob LaVallee.

I haven't sent for samples in a while....

I like sending for samples and then blogging what I think of the item that I tried. I find a lot of things on a blog called "Free Sample Forager" (that I found while playing Blogshares).

Right now I am into trying new food items...trying to find things that I would like to sell in my coffee shop someday. Anyway...rummaging through Free Sample Forager this evening and I have sent for a few things:
-A "Simply Nutrilite" Nutrition bar in Cherry Almond Flavor. The other flavor available is "Chocolate Crisp." I am not sure what Nutrilite is...whether it is an ingredient or just the name of the bar.
-I signed up to be a friend of Wildwood Foods. I am supposed to get 2 free cups of soyogurt. I cannot have soy but hopefully my husband will be willing to give me feedback on it.
-Kashi's 7-Grain Snack Crackers.

Q-Leaf Green Tea. Organic and Fair Trade.
And they have an enviromental discount:
If you re-order the same kind of tea and would like to re-use your tea tin, we can refill your order without the tin and you will receive our enviro. discount.

And while it is not a sample, I signed up for the Tazo Tea mailing list....which alludes to samples.

And this is interesting (though not in the food theme):
A program sponsored by Xerox that allows users to send an anonymous "thank you" postcard to a U.S. soldier stationed overseas.

The right way to freeze raspberries
------"Man Nearly Dies After Putting Pet Rattlesnake in His Mouth for Fun"....alcohol was involved and the photo is not pretty.
-----A meteorite that crashed down in Peru may be responsible for illness there.

A Lawsuit Against God?

This is a senator. I wonder what kind of feedback he will get on this and how much it will affect his job.

One is still responsible for one's reactions to a "setup." I think a lot of O.J.'s fate will depend upon whether he knew the guns were going to be present.

"If You Hate America So Much..."

My opinion:
I love America and would never choose to live anywhere else...though a few places are tempting just as a matter of being attached to one's family heritage. I do get mad at things and people in America. As an American, it is my right to say something. A comedian has a tendency to point out what's wrong in America in a much more satirical manner than the average citizen.
-----"Why Should I Save Money?"
-----"I Have No Idea Why the Caged Book Sings"
------The Doors-"L.A. Woman"...I sometimes laugh when he starts singing about "Mr. Mojo rising" over and over again.

------Disturbed-"The Game"...I like a lot of things by Disturbed better than this song though. I like their new song "This Moment" which is on the Transformers soundtrack....the only good song that I have heard on that soundtrack so far. I like there recent cover of Genesis' "Land of Confusion" and their older cover of Tears for Fears called "Shout 2000" was absolutely great. :-)

-----Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons-"Walk Like a Man"

"Chiquita fined $30 million for terrorist dealings"

I hope that this is going well and that a viable plan is made. :-)

Jen over at Prayer Warrior started a meme that I found at "And Miles to Go Before We Sleep" (where I also found a great recipe that I am going to try...Slow Cooker Overnight Outmeal).

Anyway...you list all of your favorite bands/musicians from A to Z.

As Thomas wondered in my comments when I first started working on this, who else would you put for "Z" besides "ZZ Top?" I thought of "Zao" and "Ziggy Marley" but I am not really into either.

I am really stuck on "X" right now.

My world....welcome to it. :-)

-My blog is QUICKLY approaching 20,000 visitors. All I need is one more visitor right now. :-)
-I just applied to be an editor who writes for a blog about music. Stay tuned and wish me lots of luck. I am excited about this. :-)
-I have not been able to confirm who the star is but apparently there will be a remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" in 2008. I have read many rumors that the star will be Keanu Reeves.
Update: It will be Keanu Reeves!

-Today I realized that Steve Irwin reminds me of John Denver...or vice versa. :-)

Coffee and a Faux Prostitute
One of these is not a good way to start the morning.

This posting bears repeating:
-----Man improperly accused of sex offense....this is ridiculous.

Nicholas commented when I first mentioned this (in one of my Thursday Thirteens) :
The first story in #1 isn't ridiculous; it's outrageous. Those cops need to be sued into bankruptcy.

I am wondering if a police officer can be individually sued for their actions....I am really not certain. Anyway...someone needs to pay for the fees that it was stated the family involved had to pay. Obviously, the family should not pay these fees.

Perhaps the officers involved will volunteer at least some of the money out of kindness...if it even has to be paid. Perhaps the police department will adovcate for this family to get the fees waived. The judge involved in the case might be able to send a notice that there was a mistaken arrest...I have read about judges doing this in states were cars are impounded like this.

When you think about it, that is a lot of money for someone with a family to come up with on short notice. And even if they can come up with it, that is a lot of money to sacrifice to such an incident.

I have read anonymous comments here and there that the family might have been guilty and that the case was thrown out on a technicality. I have not read anything that would substantiate this though the comments are written as if the person(s) knows what happened.

The whole encounter had to be pretty terrifying. I would have been very scared to witness something like this happening to a family member. It also has to be terrifying to be an officer on one of these stakeouts....a lot of risk to one's safety (especially if you are the bait).

This kind of thing is why I avoid certain gas stations and neighborhoods that I know are frequented by criminal activity. Conversely, it is also this kind of activity (along with criminals poising as victims) that makes us all less prone to help those in distress.

Tilapia is my favorite kind of fish to eat...herb-encrusted. I have read that tilapia skin can be made into snack foods...but I have no idea how.

The leather is pretty and/or pretty tacky.

Christy Sports

Christy Sports seems to have a little bit of everything for the outdoors. It is primarily a ski and board shop from what I can tell...even renting out skis and selling several types of ski passes.

Both amateurs and professionals can find something here. There is even expert equipment such as rossignol skis.

Christy Sports offers a substantial discount for renting ski & snowboard packages online! I think 20% is a pretty good discount. :-)

This company also has casual wear, outdoor furniture and patio accesories.

The people in the area that I live will be happy to know that they carry "The North Face"....some areas of the Midwest (were there is no skiing) think that is cool to wear this label. Many of the people that I know here in Iowa, actually travel to find items by "The North Face" and other labels. Iowa is a silly place sometimes...a lot of the time. Anyway...if I wanted clothes like this, I would order them....counting travel, it is MUCH cheaper.

Right now...there are no items in the womens' park skis area but I am definitely interested in those. I wonder if there is such a thing as a beginner's ski. I am a clutz but I am going to ski this winter. :-)

Unusual Memory Keeper

The Wedding Ring Coffin...well that is a little bit humorous but a little bit vindictive at the same time. I don't think that I would buy something like this. The idea is clever though and I suppose that people have used them for relationship mementos other than rings. A ring is such an ominous thing to have around forever...in a ring coffin or not. Sometimes I think it is just better to give a ring back...or, if it was a really nasty situation (such as abuse) use the profits to support oneself. Then again...maybe a ring coffin really would make some people feel better.

Renouncing a religion is not an easy thing...nor is it always necessary.

I will have to look for these on Ebay. I don't want to buy them....but I do want to see the paintings. :-)

Gossip Girl...new show this Fall

Gossip Girl on The CW

I am not a gossipy, as in scandalous, sort of girl. I do spread good gossip on my blog and I do discuss celebrities and such in a way that I hope helps someone. :-)

"Gossip Girl" is supposed to teach life lessons from what I can tell...so, in the end, it is good gossip. This show is based upon a series of books about a blogger at a private school (who posts gossip about the things going on locally). Gossip Girl knows about all the social issues, friendships and rivalries in her town...and wants to tell everyone else.

I am wondering if Gossip Girl's identity will ever be released to everyone in the story and what the reactions will be. Even if it is helpful, people sometimes don't take to gossip well when it is about them.

In the Yahoo TV section it is supposed to be possible to view the first 10 minutes of the September 19th pilot episode...but I haven't been able to find this yet.

I am hoping that this show is different than a lot of the shows that I have seen about elite firms or schools. I want to see real change in the characters...not a glamorization of their weaknesses and vices or making fun of things society shouldn't be ridiculing (both of which are present in "hit shows" such as my pet peeve "Ugly Betty"). I am looking foward to seeing what this show is like and hope that it becomes a "hit" with real capability to touch lives.

I wonder if the "Gossip Girl" character will end up being the good guy or the bad guy. I wonder what her motive is for telling all. I just know that she will be a narrator....and, one would assume, one of the actual characters in the storylines covered. :-)

Should We Part Ways with Britney?
Is it best for her and/or us???

Well....here is the video that is being talked about all over TV and on the internet:

It is titled "Leave Britney Alone." I have seen other places where the author threatens to kill themselves if something happens to Britney (I don't know if that part of the footage is real or someone was spoofing the video). :-(

Really...I didn't think that Britney's VMA performance was that bad. I liked the song....I think it was trying to say something about what society demands from Britney. I think that she just wasn't ready for this performance...maybe that was why the lip synching. She looked a bit uncomfortable and scared at times (though some places online say that she had been drinking). I think another outfit would have been more flattering as she was really washed out compared to the background dancers (who did an excellent job). I really didn't like the way the outfit showed her hipbones but I certainly didn't think she was "fat" or "flabby"...what society has come to describe as fat is ridiculous. The whole thing was a performance that was almost there but just didn't make it completely. Certainly NOT something to prompt to HUGE public ridicule that has poured forth.

Of course, criticism comes from Perez Hilton:

There are those who say that Britney chose this lifestyle and must face the consequences. Many feel that she really can't make a comeback.

And there are those who are spirtually offended by Britney Spears (and Madonna). Some of those would like to see both of the stars beheaded. Perhaps these words were just spoken out of anger. I will say that I would like to see both stars become a more positive influence in some areas.

Some responses are extremely worded in places:

Anyway Britney is only 25...and I wish her well. I don't want to see these kind of dramas ruining the rest of her life.

I would like to hear how she is doing...and hope that it changes to a happy tale. :-)

My online friend Thomas says best why we should really be worried about Britney.
