Banned Books Challenge 2016

I am trying for the "Leader of a Revolution" level. This means I will read at least 15 banned or challenged books.
You can read more details and join the challenge HERE.

So, I start with book number in my Mother's collection. To this day, "The Shadow of Blooming Grove: Warren G. Harding in His Times," is a go-to biography when reading about President Harding. The "banned" and "challenged" part comes in the fact that the author was under a restraining order requested by the Harding family....and hence there are blank spaces in this book. Apparently President Harding was not strong in the fidelity department...having at least two mistresses that I know of and possibly a child with one of them. Harding wrote letters in which he gave his private parts a personality and name...letters to his mistress who was married. Of course, the family did not want these letters released and I guess eventually the National Archives was under obligation to release them. Harding was a very un-liked president besides (many scandals such as Teapot Dome). This is not a tabloid type of book but an honest look at both the good and bad of Warren G. Harding's life.

<<<<==========As of this typing,"The Shadow of Blooming Grove" is anywhere from a penny to $29.99 on Amazon.
