Somehow I missed this cover of "We Will Rock You." Special guest Brian May! I can't decide if I really like it. I am sure it would have been fun to be there and the live sound might have given me a better impression. Hmmm.
-In HQ, I like it a little better and will have to post it at some point.

Arcadia Cafe. Ames,Iowa. I love their amazing cheesecake...it is fluffy and not brick-like (like so many other cheesecakes are.) I have been meaning to try their "Alarm Clock" as someone asked me to report back to them on how it tastes...orange juice with caramel and cold-brewed coffee will be an adventure. (Thank you to the owners for helping the Asylum Tent at the very last Cornerstone Festival.)

-----Sweet Maria's. Excellent source of info for home roasting or a home barista setup. I have recommended this site to a lot of people and I think it is one of the first sites that any serious home roaster will mention.

Working on another "100 Things About Me."

---If I feel strongly about something I post to Facebook, I will "like" my own status.
---I am a fan of CVS. All those little extra sales bring smiles into our lives (free candy canes, a Barnes & Noble card for my Mother at Christmas and a three dollar credit for my birthday are the things I can think of on top of my head). Super nice cashiers and they don't mind at all that pretty much everyone in their lines is couponing, etc.
---Christine Ha, the (astounding) blind chef on Master Chef USA, Season 3 makes me cry. I identify with her as I fear for my eyesight.
---I am afraid of acupuncture. The invent of laser acupuncture certainly did not make me any more at ease with ever trying it.
---I really, really enjoy listening to the birds chirping outside in the morning. I wish I knew more about how to identify the many birds that fly around our house.
---I believe in the Golden Rule and wish everyone else did. I do not like people that show no respect for others...especially when you have been only respectful and nice to them.
---I am a fan of the name "Sebastian." I have never met anyone who actually had this name.
---I think it would be great if a lot more cities had tours by double decker bus. I saw a photo of a wedding that took place on the top of a double decker bus...the bride looked so happy and like she was having so much fun.
---I have a Jackie Chan poster about not smoking. I wish more "hero" celebrities would do posters like this.
---I think baby dolphins are beautiful.
---I often capitalize words like "Mother and "Husband" for obvious reasons.

Abbey Road Crossing Webcam
It is a busy intersection and, during the daytime, there are so many people trying to imitate the scene from the Beatles record cover. I think I saw the same person lie down in the middle of the road twice.
Is lying down in the middle of the road with some risk from oncoming cars the new Chinese Fire Drill? I guess part of the showmanship is doing a springy pushup to get off the ground quickly. I saw a young man do it here recently...only he came a lot closer to being hit by a car.

I love seeing all the double-decker buses. :-)

We Liked It

-----Barbecue Chicken Pizza with a garlic crust. From Jet's. I am so looking forward to experiencing this again and have some smiles planned to go with the experience. :-)
-----Sparkling Kiwi Lemonade. We will put a little less sugar in next time. The kiwi ice cubes look pretty and are pleasantly fragrant.
-----Sauteed Fruits. Excellent with steak. Made me wish I had a glass of red wine.
-----Thinly sliced roast beef topped with a mixture of a large tablespoon of sour cream horse radish, a cup of sour cream and grated onion on a baguette.
-----Magnum Ice Cream Bars. Right now, I want to try the mint.

Not Forgotten....Zahra.

The remains of a 10-year-old girl from North Carolina named Zahra Clare Baker have been found. Her body was dismembered and spread over more than one location. I have read that it was also a possibility that Zahra was raped by two men at some point during whatever happened. The case is now (obviously) being treated as a homicide. A relative has said that Zahra died of natural causes and that the couple panicked (due to immigration status)and dismembered/disposed of Zahra. :-(

---There have been no arrests in this case (yet). The investigation is ongoing.

-----See the flowers of a caper bush in person. Somewhere here in the States...maybe Hawaii.
-----Buy a good set of bells (for playing music). They could be expensive.
-----Take a surfing lesson at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Someday my wave will come. :-)
-----See tortoises on the Galapagos Islands. A place I have wanted to go since childhood. Hopefully, no other species will be extinct by the time I get there.
-----Visit Acadia National Park. See the Peregrines.
-----See the Titanic Memorial
-----Ride in a blimp.
-----Taking photographs in Paris: Dîner en Blanc, Place de la Concorde, and the view under the Eiffel Tower.
-----Visit the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin.
-----See a rainbow in Ireland.
One cool rainbow moment from my life already....being at a friend's pizza party and a rainbow stopped at Eric Clayton's vehicle (yes, the singer).
-----Run the Walt Disney World Marathon.I am hoping a couple of our friends and their little one will come with us...both for the park visit and the race.
-----Run the Grand Canyon Marathon.

Some of these goals will be difficult to achieve...I am opposed to TSA pat-downs and the radiation of scanning.
