Thursday Thirteen.....

1.

2. American Society for Velociraptor Attack Prevention

3. A good thing in the world:
Ex-Atlanta Braves pitcher and his family escape a house fire. The quick-acting wife rescued them all. :-)

4. I am not sure I understand why donations for these rescued horses had to be refused.

5.

"Fireworks Popcorn Orchard Blossom 15 oz. Jar. A rare pink popcorn which pops up white as snow and has a light, fluffy texture. Small farmers throughout the Midwest grow our popcorn exclusively for us to meet our exacting standards. No dyes are used to enhance the beautiful colors of our corn. It's all compliments of Mother Nature. Fireworks® Popcorn grows the same varieties of corn that our Grandparents enjoyed, tender and full of naturally good flavor. Because our corn is not genetically altered (contains no GMO's) or crossed with low grades of "field" corn they will pop smaller but have very tender hulls that shatter when popped. Fireworks® Popcorn is easier not only on dental work but also the digestive system. At 120 Calories for each 5 cup individual serving, Fireworks® Popcorn is loaded with 7 Grams of fiber making it the perfect all natural, healthy snack!"

6. Miss Colorado speaks out about being homeless (which she is).

7. I don't know if I would really qualify that as a hat. There is no way I would wear Camilla's hat.

8.
-----James Robert Dean (drink) recipe
-----Coca-Cola's secret recipe?

9. If my water bill were suddenly $3,000....I would be upset, too!

10.

11. Chicken with Portobello Mushrooms and Artichokes. If all goes well with tonight's dinner (a dish that contains chicken, mushrooms, grapes, artichokes and bacon), I will be very eager to try the Chicken With Portobello Mushrooms and Artichokes. :-)
".....canned artichoke hearts can be really tough, so I recommend using jarred ones, drained."

12. Theorizing as to what inspires Charlie Sheen's choice of words.

13. NILE: :-)
-----Nile Perch Moroccan. Emphasizes that this recipe makes it so there is no "fishy" taste.
-----Curried Nile Perch. Monkfish can be substituted.
-----Exotic Nile River Split Pea Soup. Pay attention to the comments on how to make sure the peas are soft.
-----Easy Baked Nile Perch. Goes well with creamy coleslaw or Susie Fishbein's Creamy Garlic Salad.
-----Baked Nile Perch With Veggies
-----Nile Perch, Baked Cantonese-Style
-----Nile Perch Brooklynese
-----Jewel of the Nile (drink)
-----White Nile Martini.  Described as tasting like a liquid chocolate orange.
-----Pistachio and Malibu Nile Perch. "Malibu" refers to Malibu Rum.
-----Nile River Lentil Soup. Uses the red lentils (which cook quicker).
-----Broiled Nile Perch With Rosemary

This post is a work-in-progress. :-)

I did a double-take on the velociraptor one. My first thought was that the word must not mean what I thought it meant.

But it did. :)

Yes...there is National Velociraptor Awareness Day coming up on April 18th. I hope to have a lot of fun with that. :-)
