Please fix your URL under adgitize. Traffic goes somewhere else because you forgot to add "s" on blog"s"pot. Just letting you know, unless you don't care about the traffic then I'll shut-up.

Lol - anything resembling research on food-taste is probably too sophisticated for my tastebuds :-)

Born in Birmingham in the Midlands of England, although I try to forget that. Simple tastes here for uncomplicated munchies :-)

Thank you, Nedekcir. I am not sure how that happened...it also listed my blog correctly, too. That was weird...and I don't know that I would have noticed (if you hadn't pointed it out). I think it is fixed now.

Ahhh, is that nature or nurture, though, I wonder? I do have some definite taste preferences from my birthplace (Hawaii) but some of my major comfort foods are not tropical at all but heavy meat, potatoes and gravy stuff from my current home in the Midwest.

I think my tastes are kind of eclectic. I have a taste for family recipes from both my family and my Husband's family...neither of which has much to do with anything local. I enjoy trying so many things....so I guess that I think it depends upon what you have been exposed to or what you have chosen to be exposed to.

I have not really tried much Hawaiian cuisine. I must make a point to do so.

I have also decided to try Persian and Iranian cuisine....which I have never tasted and know nothing about. An online friend told me about Yas...a Persian/Iranian restaurant in California. I guess they have good kebabs, pureed egglant and savory rice. I am interested in the kebabs and how they are prepared.

:-)
