We had traditionally British raised eyebrows when they phased out the £1 note for the £1 coin.
After 15-20 years I'd say - good move :-) Having the coin instead of the note makes it easier to feed the Coke Machine to get an ice cold bottle out :-) (thinking is dominated by the warmth at moment ;-)
Yep - good move, notes tear and wear out quick whereas coins last ages. And they're easier to manipulate when fumbling for change.
