SAVE THE MONKEY PUZZLE TREE

150-year-old Monkey Puzzle Tree may be cut down. If the needles don't blow too far in the wind, my solution would be to just keep children away from the tree.

I hope that some alternative is found to cutting down this tree.

I hope they just leave it alone. Should we kill all the porcupines too? What would Michele say?

There are a lot of animals and plants that we would eliminate with similar criteria. Leave the Monkey Puzzle Tree alone. If it is such a problem, make it so that humans can not go near it. Short of a tornado or other major storm, the tree wouldn't hurt anyone if it were isolated (assuming the wind doesn't carry the needles tremendous distances).
