The water clock is very interesting. It has a unique beauty and a lot of craftsmanship.

And Michele sent me to say....KNUT Is CUTE!!! Even though he looks quite different that he did a year ago...I think he is still very very Huggable!

Yes...Knut is very huggable-looking. I wouldn't want to get him mad though.

Now I know how fast a bear cub grows up. Interesting clock ... reminds me of a display I once saw at a museum in Los Angeles where complex machines kept themselves going perpetually ... I thought they were called "garbenstingles" but I'm not sure now that I type it (and Google has no reference to help me out ... Sigh)! Such is life as I get older :)

I am not sure what they would be called. I know that a lot of the complex "perpetual" motion machines were modeled after Rube Goldberg machines.
