Parents do have to sign a permission slip before students are allowed to use the clinic. Children only have access to the clinic if their parents give permission.

If the parents have signed the permission slip, then state law requires that all birth control services be confidential.

A parent has to sign a permission slip to use the school clinic for illness or injury....from what I read in the article. Parents will then not be told if the child uses the clinic for birth control. That is my understanding.
