Currently I am keeping the following in my thoughts & prayers:
Currently I am keeping the following in my thoughts & prayers:
-----A boy who drowned....and the father who had to make an agonizing decision.
-----Shiloh, a little girl with "mermaid syndrome," has died at age 10.
-----Kevin who has cancer....and it is showing growth.
-----A man who fell to his death while hiking in the Grand Canyon. The part about the camera was at least some beautiful news. When we were at the zoo recently, I told Husband of this gentleman's story in regards to the importance of memories.....not everyone's passing is an inspiration....I will continue to pass the beautiful part of this on to others.
-----Kristi Cornwell is missing. Likely abducted.
-----Several family members (including my Mother) who have diabetes.
-----Several family members (including my Mother) who have diabetes.
-----Baby Gabriela. I hope she continues to do well....she was able to have a heart transplant!
-----A little girl who is basically allergic to modern life.
-----A UK baby with a brain tumor. Could use donations.
-----Caylee Anthony. I am so sad for everyone who loved her. I hope that the truth is found in this matter.
-----Good news! Lauren Richardson, who had a case similar to Terri Schiavo, is being given a chance to recover!
-----Patrick Swayze.
-----Jenny Lloyd, a little girl who has a rare disease where she can be literally scared t o death. I am not sure how the fund-raising efforts are going..."Jenny's Pennies." I hope that Jenny has gotten her dream of meeting Hannah Montana by now.
-----Apx. 16 children were orphaned as a result of a man dressing up as Santa and arriving with a guns and a flame-throwing device on Christmas Eve. This is something they will never be able to forget. I will definitely be thinking about them next Christmas.:-(
-----Heath Ledger's little daughter...who will grow up without her Daddy. :-( I am glad to hear that Heath's family decided to give her all of his assets with no fighting. One does not always see family members do the right thing after someone dies. I glad that Michelle Williams is taking a year off to focus on her daughter.
-----That Madeleine McCann and Natalie Holloway are found soon....or what happened to them is found.
-----War...I am tired of it. I realize that some wars are needed for protection of one's country or of fellow human beings...but all I see is War, anymore.
-----A beautiful baby named Kayla passed away after a valiant struggle with cancer.
-----The family and friends of Lorraine Allard. Lorraine passed away after delaying cancer treatment in order to give birth to her son.

Note:
This post is in no particular order. Prayer/thought requests just go to the top as I hear more about what is going on. If you can think of a way to help these people, PLEASE do so. This post will be second-from-the-top during the midst of an emergency (such as an Amber Alert).
Note: I would not advise linking to this post...you will wind up with a broken link each time I have to change the post-dating to keep this a Vigil at the Top.

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 277 Newer› Newest»I hope all those prayers are answered.
Thank you, Barbara. I hope so, too. I really like this stock photo & having the vigil at the top reminds me that I want to pray for people.
Admin Note:
This post will not be a part of my "Exercising for Comments."
God bless you fro expressing the caring that He put in your heart.
Thank you, David. I do care about these people....I wish I could know everyone's problems & individually pray for them. Of course, God can hear everyone's problems. Again, thank you for your kind words.
I was going to post on your mutterings but will say an extra prayer instead. Thank you for remembering the less fortionate!
Thank you for saying the prayer, Diana. :-)
My heart aches for these people and their families.
Such a travesty, such a shame.
They all will be in our prayers
I have no more words which to give.
Thank you, Morgan. It is very caring of you. :-)
That is quite a list. I can and will offer up prayers as well. Thank you for bringing these prayer needs to my attention.
Thank you...overwhelmed!
Prayers indeed, for all of those subjects, and more.
I was not sure where to leave this comment, but this is the host of "Almost Radio", and I wanted to thank you for your comments on my page. =)
I enjoyed visiting Ty (and I will be back). Thank you for praying. :-)
That is a very interesting blog you have here. Michele says hello. :-)
Smiler-
Thank you. I hope that you have a good remainder-of-your-week. :-)
Wanted to let you know, your blog here got a mention on the newest episode of Almost Radio. =)
Ty...
Neat and thank you. I will come and listen. :-)
How beautiful - I am and have been praying for Heather for some time...she's a beautiful spirit.
God Bless you.
Jennifer-
It is wonderful that you have been praying for Heather. :-)
So much sorrow around. We need to think of them
I agree, Jean-Luc.
Wow, was coming back to reply to your comment but those are so sad to hear. I'll keep them in prayers too, thanks for posting this. Wish we could help all those in need :(
and for my reply to your comment: yeah, my niece and I have that little "love-hate" relationship going on. We bug the heck out of each other ... A LOT.
Ah...but that is kind of like siblings. It looks like you have a pretty neat relationship with your niece.
Thank you for the prayers. :-)
Hi there. I dropped by from Michele's to let you know how thankful I am that you have written this entry. Every day, I say a little prayer for a whole lot of folks. It started off for my dad, who's been sick for a lot of years, and it grew from there.
Prayer is a powerful thing, even if it's a simple good thought as you get ready for another day. Thank you for this reminder. I hope someone shares a prayer for you, too, because you absolutely deserve it.
Carmi-
That last part made me feel really good.
Even if people don't pray, they really should think of each other. We can use a lot more goodwill in the world.
I hope that your father is doing as well as possible.
hello michele sent me ..... you're right .. there's so much sadness in the world .. but there is something about the human spirit that makes us carry on and more often that not see the silver linings too ..... you reminded me to be more aware of how lucky I am ... thanks
Omykiss-
Yes...there is a lot of sadness in the world. When I am praying for people and keeping them in my thoughts, I find a lot of people are so brave under horrific circumstances.I feel lucky, too...in a lot of ways. Thank you for visiting.
What a wonderful post to make. Many of these incidents I had not yet heard about. I hope all of these prayers are answered, and my own prayers go out to all of these people tonight to. May God be merciful to all of them.
Michele sent me.
Thank you, Square One. :-)
All in my thoughts and prayers...
Michele sent me
Thanks,JsDaughter. I am coming to visit your blog in a second. I am glad that a lot of people are commenting on this post.
They have my prayers.
Thank you, Flleeenie. Neat name. :-)
Michele sent me tonight, but due to my eyesight and the lack of contrast and size of your font...I personally cannot read any of it....Finding where it ended was quite a chalange for me. I am sorry, but there are some of us out here in Blogland who are older and our eyesight just isn't as good as a lot of people younger than us...!
I dearly wish you would consider using a LARGER font--BOLD, Too, and a different color....I certainly understand if you don't want to, but I hope you will understand that I cannot read a word of your posts. Again, I am sorry.
I will see what I can do, Lady. When I switched templates to improve load time, this was the best that I ended up with. I will experiment with trying to fix this. I am not sure about making it larger and bold....but maybe I can get the font back to being white. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Well hopefully that works for you, Lady. It is a little larger, in Arial and I have changed the colors on everything. Bolding the text made it so I had trouble reading it...so, I didn't do that. I hope that this works better for you on your next visit. :-)
Very nice post.
Good to keep things like this in our thoughts. We know people affected by the fires, and have donated to the humane society to help the animals as well.
I like your banner. :)
Michele says hello!
~S :)
I see you have several big topics in your thoughts.
Here in the UK this year we are being encouraged tp think of others at this time of year. As an example,
oxfamunwrapped.com has some interesting ideas.
Here today via Michele's, Hello!
rashbre
Hello, Rashbre. I usually have several big topics in my thoughts. I would like to help as much as I can online....oh, how I wish that I had more time to be online.
Shephard-
Yes, I think it is very important to keep those in need in my thoughts and prayers. A lot of times people are only concerned by what the media is concerned with.....and this comes and goes quickly. Thank you for visiting.
:-)
Hello, Michele sent me to say that I think it is important to remember people in thoughts and prayers. I wish the best for your list!
Thank you, Sara. :-)

Arrived here via Michele's.
My prayers to everyone.
Thank you, Flleenie. :-)
I pray every day to stop the wars and bloodshed, fighting, bombing, terrorism and torture, suffering and oppression. I pray for peace throughout the world and for God to please feed the world. And God bless and keep all the people in your prayers. Amen
Michele sends her best.
Thank you for visiting, Pi. I want peace, too. I think some of it boils down to respect...we must respect each others viewpoints. If we feel a duty to try to give others our message, we should do so in a manner that does not involve bloodshed. I realize that sometimes it is necessary to stop the actions of others with force...but not in all the instances that it happens.
Michele sent me to visit. I pray, like pat, daily for peace.
I hope all your prayers are answered.
Roland-
Thank you and I am glad that you pray for peace. If everyone prayed for peace, maybe their actions would follow and bring peace.
Amen.
Thanks for taking the time to spread a little love and cheer.
I am a certified coffee-snob as well (I roast my own beans). Nice to meet you.
Here from Michele's meet-n-greet
Thank you, Bubblehead. Nice to meet you, too.
I am planning on roasting my own beans....as soon as I find a popcorn popper to do it...yes, I want to roast beans with a popcorn popper.
The meet-n-greet is so much fun. :-)
I'll be thinking of those people.
Michele sent me here.
Thank you for stopping by Jean-Luc. :-)
I followed your link from Sarcasticmom and started with your about me profile section. I felt such a deep connection that I continued to read. Your post and comment replies are beautiful and I am so glad that I happened upon here tonight. Totally a God-incidence. Prayers are going up for the list and for you and your spirit. Thank you.
Thank you. I am sure there is a reason for the name "Graceunderautism"...I will be praying about that. Your comments were truly kind.
Here from Michele's and I feel I can comment on each of your posts - a kindred spirit, perhaps? - but this one warms my heart the most. I have been part of a 24 hour prayer vigil for the past two decades and know without a doubt the power of prayer. I will include all of yours in our vigil and thank you for the care and love you put into yours :)
Thank you, Dara. Your kind words make me smile....and your kind actions do a lot for people who need help.
Michele sent me and Im glad she did.
Scrappingtwinmom-
I am glad that you came. :-)
I will pray for them, especially for the woman Carmi wrote about. Michele sent me tonight.
Thank you, Kenju.
I am glad that my blog didn't make your computer hang up this time. :-)
I am worried about Robyn...the woman that Carmi wrote about.
I too offer my prayers.
Michele sent me here for the last time this week!
And to all a good night.
Thank you Christina and Guatami for coming by.
Guatami it was awesome to see you so many times....see you next time.
good night
Good night, David. :-)
It's really a sad world sometimes, but also, there are so much positivity. Like other people caring and helping out :-D
I hope you're having a peaceful xmas!
Thank you. Xmas pretty peaceful....a lot of traveling so I haven't been on here....peaceful though...and fun.
Thank you for stopping by my spot on the web. My visit here is a reminder that we need to be in constant remembrance of those in need. The need may be emotional or physical, prayer is powerful enough to reach both. Thanks for the reminder. :)
Thank you, Kontan. I enjoyed visiting you. :-)
This is all very sad. I am glad to hear that Robyn was found okay though. Must be such a releif for her family.
Michele sent me to say hi. BTW - you can remove any unwanted spam from your comments in Blogger (just in case you didn't know) :)
Hello! Michele sent me to say hello.
I know that I could remove the top comment (Spam). I chose not to because I was hoping that the poster would eventually realize that Spam in the wrong place can be devastating. Not that there is a right place for Spam. I have seen Spam many times in the middle of peoples' grieving. Even online people should respect the space of others. I think that a lot of spammers could write a quality blog on their topic...and I encourage them to do so.
Thank you for visiting, Bob-Kat.
Thank you for visiting< Joe. :-)
Admin. Note:
Robyn was a girl who was understandably afraid during treatment for a mental illness. She is safe now and hopefully her medicines will work. I am taking her off the frontpage now in the interest of her privacy. I will still be thinking and praying about her.
I pray for all those who need it. Michele sent me here to say a hi!
Hugs!
My prayers for all those who need it. Michele sent me your way today!
I love your idea for a coffee shop/hobby store! Very creative and who does not love a great cup of coffee. I pray you achieve this goal and do very well.
Prayer is such a powerful thing. Great list and will be praying with you! Be blessed!
Mondaythroughsunday-
Thank you for all your encouragement and prayers. :-)
How about Heath Ledgers family? Such a tragic story.
Anyways, I stopped by to tell you thank you for continuing to read my blog. Sorry I haven't been around much, ever since I switched jobs it's hard for me to find much time online.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday and new year.
Sam-
I am glad that you came by. I am really concerned about Heath's daughter, Matilda.
I am glad that your little one is doing well. He constantly amazes me.
:-)
michelle sent me to also have a moment to pray for all of these people
Thanks for visiting, November Rain. :-)
I came from Michele's to say hello.. I love this idea you have going. Perhaps it'll remind us all that pass through here that our prayers do help.
michelle sent me back because no one can pray enough or have enough silent moments
Thank you to both Sol and November Rain. :-)
wow. this is awesome. thanks for posting this. I'll be saying a prayer for everyone too. will you say one for my uncle who is losing his battle with ALS and is going to be going into hospice?
michele sent me.
Definitely, Michelle....I will pray for your uncle. :-)
Hugs.
hello there. michele sent me.

Thank you for visiting, Michelle. It is good that you are praying for that. :-)
So many children... it's heartbreaking to read about them.
Here from Michele's.
Yes, there are a lot of children in the news stories I find. Sad.
Thank you for visiting, Indigo.
Nice of you to include Keith Ledger's daughter. :)
Michele says hello.
~S
Thank you for making me aware of people who could use a thought and a prayer.
Hello, Michele sent me!
Also, thank you for this post. Sometimes we get caught up in the little day to day things and forget the struggles others are having.
:-)'s at Shephard, Scribbit and Friday.
Michelle sent me to say hi. Your prayer list is a wonderful effort. Our world is such a struggle. How could we move through it without prayer?
Thank you, Gemma. I wish that I were better at it. I guess though that it is better than not saying anything at all.
Thank you for reminding us to keep others less fortunate than ourselves in mind.
Thank you for visiting, Laveda. I read about you on Solomon's blog. When I visited your blog, I was impressed by the incredible amount of introspection and thought you put into living.
Michelle says hello...
The power of prayer is truly an amazing thing.
Yes...thank you for visiting deputy's wife. Wherever your Husband works...tell him that someone online said "thank you" for all that he does.
Oh there are some sad stories there.. my thoughts are with these people.
Thank you....it is good to think of them. If enough people do, someone will hear who can help...or the world will at least be a more caring place. :-)
Hello! Michele sent me! It's nice to know that someone cares for others as you seem to!
Thanks, Joe. :-)
Thanks for coming by and your comment =)
I have been reading the news for the last few days and it just seems so much death and sadness is just prevailent everywhere, it just makes you realize life is really to short. Great post.
Thank you Char. :-)
That's quite a list -- I too shall keep them in my thoughts.
Michele sent me ...
there is so much sadness in the world today...
My prayers definitely go out to all.
BTW, very nice blog you have here.
I'm so glad someone started a post like this. God bless you for ministering to those in need. I've a prayer request.
You may have heard of the murder of Eve Carson, the UNC student in North Carolina. Pray for her family, and that justice would be done, and that the killer would come to know Christ in prison.
Blessings,
Josephine
Thank you, Regina. I am going to visit you....if you have a blog. :-)
I had heard of Eve Carson and will add something about this to my post. I don't know much about her case...I have just seen bits about it on the news but at places where the volume on TV's wasn't on.
:-(
May all your prayers be answered.
Thank you, Tommie. :-)
What a beautiful post.
Sorry for the spam but I'm letting everyone on the Heads Or Tails blogroll know that HoT has a home of its own! You can find it HERE. :)
Thank you, Skittles. :-)
wow.
that all makes me really sad. I hope some of it comes out okay.
i'm visiting from Michele's.
Thank you, Tanya. There is a lot of sadness in the world...but sometimes things work out OK....eventually.

Thank you,Fleenie. I still think you have a pretty name. :-)
Thanks..
thoughts and prayers to all of them. may everyone live to be happy
michele sent me!
Thank you, Katya. Pretty name.
I am still praying for Dede.
Thank you for pointing out a few people to keep in my thoughts, I had a few in mine already..
patrick swayze, little Madeleine and the chinese people.
What patrick has is what I can only say a very nasty thing to have, I have seen first hand what it does and it's not very nice at all believe me, he's young enough to make it, my dad had it and it's not dubbed the silent killer for nothing.
May God give strength to those who have none, hope to those who think there is none left in the world for them and peace to all,
Amen.
Hmmm...michelle sent me...
Thank you, Gordon. I am sorry to hear that your father passed away.
Thank you for visiting Anonymous....whoever you are.
Amen and amen.

Thank you, Linda. :-) Your comment came at just the right time. :-)
So many prayers to be answered!
Yes....seem like there always is...sigh. Thank you for visiting and I hope everything is going well in your life....and that you are not "overwhelmed." :-)
Hi and thanks for visiting my place. Come back any time.
And thanks for sharing prayer requests, including those for people whom we otherwise might dismiss.
Cheers.
Thank you.
many people around you are sick. and you are there to pray for them. i'm blessed to have dropped by your blog.
Thank you, Payaso. I read about many people that are sick.
I only personally know a few people who are really sick right now. It is SEVERE for them and they have all suffered a long time.
I am very thankful for your thoughtful comments.
Wow! I stopped by from Entrecard and was so moved by your post. Thank you for being so thoughtful. My heart aches for people who are suffering.
Chic Gal-
Thank you....you said this at just the right time.
I will add them to my prayers and hope that the prayers are answer.
Here via Michele.
Here from ILCW. Thanks for caring.
Here from ILCW. Thanks for caring.
Martha-Thank you....you were how I found out that I made it onto the ILCW list. I am very excited about ILCW....the Blogosphere is most fun and I learn the most when it is interactive. :-)
I love your Manx cat. Pretty.
What a great idea for a blog! Here from ICLW
Thank you, Jill. You made me smile. :-)
Here from ICLW...
what a great idea - your prayer list! You might also add Estelle Getty's family to your prayers. She passed away today, but I just adored her on The Golden Girls!
Hi, found you on the ICLW list.
Wow, that is some prayer list. I sent up a few myself.
This is an amzing concept for a blog. Way to go. I came from ICLW.
Hope2morrow-I added Estelle....just found out about it. :-(
Thank you, Momofonefornow. :-)
Thank you, Michelle. I think that everyone can have there blog add a little bit of difference or goodwill to the world. :-)
Here from ICLW.
Quite the prayer list, I am sending a few up of my own.
That is a lot of praying. More power to you.
ICLW
Thank you, Bendingbackwards and Echloe. :-) :-) :-)
I will remeber to keep some of these in my prayers.
here from ICLW
Thank you, Alicia. :-)
Wow!! I wish I was as organized as you with my prayers. I kind of just have an ongoing random dialogue going... Very neat though, and I did enjoy your blog. Thanks for visiting mine too. :)
Thank you. It made me smile that you considered me organized...the aim was to make sure that I actually returned to praying/thinking about others. It is so easy to pay lip service and then forget....and I didn't want to do that.
Having an ongoing dialogue is good. :-)
Michele sent me over, BB. That's a lot of people that need help...
Thank you for stopping by, Utenzi. There are a lot more people that need help in the world. It is sad when people don't know, notice or care...or all of the above at the same time.
Wow. I'm impressed that you've kept up with all the headlines! So many heartbreaking stories.
Thank you, Surcie. I try to keep up with everyone I put on this list. Sometimes, people disappear from anyone's notice....but you know they are still having problems.
You must stay awfully busy with this pursuit. Love the photo. Especially the way it's lit.
-Mojo
I like the photo, too. I wish that the person who took it had done more. :-)
I do stay busy....with a LOT of the things that I do here on my blog.
I just wish that I could get people to understand blogging and the concept of caring about others. Both of these are frequent topics that come up in my own problems and worries.
The photo looks so sacred and serene!
We all are praying with you. Thanks for reminding us humanity.
Thank you, Rainbow Painter. :-) I like your name.
Hi,
I am Gina from Memphis...home of Elvis and Issac Hayes. The Elvis hospital is called The Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center and is called The Med for short. Nice to meet an Elvis fan!!! I wrote a short post on Elvis Week today on my blog.
Gina-
Thank you for the info on the Med...I find that kind of thing truly interesting. The world is a neat place. I will be coming to read your Elvis Week post. :-)
I am enough of an Elvis fan that I have a tapestry (and a few other things....but not kitschy) up in my house. For a while the Elvis tapestry used to be up in the bedroom cause Husband did not want it to be in a public room...it was alarming though that it looked like Elvis was watching you. Luckily, Husband has now gotten used to my ways and is OK with Elvis hanging in public rooms...though not the family room. :-)
Coming over from ICLW...
Hope the prayers are answered!
Wow....I didn't realize that it was already ICLW....glad I check my comments daily. :-)
Thank you for your hope on the prayers. :-)
here from (ILCW).
look forward to reading more about you.
Bless to them all! And hello from Michele's.
Jaymee...pleased to meet you. You have a lovely smile in your photo. :-)
Here from ICLW. Thank You for posting this info. I will keep them all in my thoughts.
Thank you for visiting, Shiona. :-)
A constant vigil - what a great idea.
iclw
Thank you, Cappy. :-)
Thanks for writing.
Tou and/or David-
Thank you for visiting. :-)
I'm here from Michele's and happy to see the prayers are still steadfast and true. Long may they continue.
Thank you. This is a permanent feature of my blog. It is really important to help, think, pray.

Alright. I hope that all is going well with you David. I hope that her son David makes it and gets some help.
Sorry to hear about your mothers health - you're in my thoughts.
The blogger-
Thank you, very much. This means a lot to me. I will be passing on to my mother the fact that a lot of people are pulling for her. Hugs to you....and I hope that all is going well in your life.
re: " For a person mentioned to me that needs recovery" I think that might be my friend, who already has serious liver damage, but still drinks too much daily - Catherine, for salvation and a trip to detox medically ( safer) and inpatient rehab.
Please God!
Yes, I am talking about your friend, David. I will continue to pray for her.
Hi There,
NetChick sent me.
seems like you have a lot going on in your life right now.
I hope you have all the support you need right now. Please make sure you are taking some respite time.
It's kind of like putting on your own oxygen mask first.
Take care.
Jennifer
Thank you, Jennifer. That was a unique way of saying it....you must be a very good personal coach. I don't know if I am very good at taking the advice....I do so good and then just have my moments. Thank you for your kindness.
Hi, everyone!
Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruit. JEREMIAH 17:7-8
Thank you for the beautiful passage, Paul.
Hope your mother is getting better. A very good friend is also currently fighting stage 4 breast cancer.
Such a terrible disease.
Netchick sent me.
Best wishes for your mom.
