Please keep my mother in your thoughts and prayers.My mother has Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She is supposed to have a surgery. The surgery was delayed as she needed to be stronger first. Now the surgery is being delayed until they see if the cancer has spread to her thyroid. I will have the new about the possible spread today or tomorrow. I am worried.....but hopeful.

Bobby Schiavo talks about euthanasia & Brownback (who is running for President). Do you believe that euthanasia is acceptable based on quality of life? Was Terri Schiavo disabled or vegetated???

Wikipedia has a summary of her autopsy report. There was almost nothing left of her brain. In my opinion, she was already gone.
I don't know if technically this was considered "euthenasia." She was unable to swallow, and was being fed through a tube that connected through her abdomen into her stomach. She wasn't killed, exactly, she was allowed to die.
I've told my family that if I'm unable to say, "Don't pull the plug," then I want them to pull the plug.
I am always conflicted on this...I believe that the human brain can, and does, recover....SOMETIMES.
